We have developed 4 different ways to adopt an "NA5" suppressor to any shotgun with one of the characteristics below, without altering the shotgun.
If the shotgun is "factory threaded" for a muzzle brake (like the Saiga-12 ga)
If the shotgun is "factory threaded" for chokes (Most hunting & Competition models with ribbed barrels)
If the shotgun has stable front sight
If the shotgun has a "barrel nut" in front of the magazine tube that locks the barrel in place
Conceived in early 2008 the NA5 system is solving the problem of "Sabot" rounds (like the shotgun pellets & wadding) passing safely through a suppressor attached to a "Scatter Gun".
It was the basis for solving the the problem of attaching suppressors on multi-barrel military weapons (like the GAU-19,the PHALANX,ect.) as you can see in our "Military & Law Enforcement" section of our website.
It was patented in 2010, so it is officially the FIRST commercially available shotgun suppressor in this country.
SAIGA-12 WITH AN NA52-2 SHOTGUN SUPPRESSOR
The stainless steel adapter will be screwed on the factory barrel threads meant for a muzzle brake. It will be "locktighted" in place since it will not effect the function of the weapon as fired without the suppressor.
The carbon fiber tube will be positioned in place and fit on the receptacle in the back of the adapter and then the buffer/tube module will be securing the whole system in place. All done with no tools in less than 15 seconds. This suppressor can be removed from the weapon and be meticulously cleaned by unscrewing the cover of the buffers (again no tools) re-assembled and re-installed in about the same time!
The suppressor is only 1lbs. 15oz. (870 grams)!!!
It is the QUIETEST and LIGHTEST shotgun suppressor in the WORLD and it also cuts the recoil in half , since it traps and cools the propelled gases in its over sized tube.
